IHME Helsinki Commission 2025

At the heart of IHME is an annual public artwork

IHME Helsinki Commissions are made together with an artist or artist group and Finnish and foreign partners, in public space in Finland and abroad. Ukrainian artist Zhanna Kadyrova’s IHME Helsinki Commission 2025 is a videoinstallation. The Forest installation will be shown in the Steam Power Plant at the Power Station Museum (Voimalamuseo, Hämeentie 163, Helsinki) for six weeks until 2 October 2025.

Kadyrova will examine the consequences of Russia’s destruction of the Kahovka dam, the past of Zaporizhzhya region, and nature’s regenerative ability. In Helsinki Kadyrova is interested in the history and present of Vanhankaupunginkoski rapids. Exhibition is free of charge.
